Mukti Bhowmik

Mukti Bhowmik is a Bangladeshi-born sculptor and painter currently based in Toronto, Canada. She holds an M.F.A. and B.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Dhaka. With over three decades of experience, Mukti has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including shows in Japan, Greece, India, China, and Bangladesh. Her work has been featured in galleries, museums, and private collections worldwide. She has received multiple awards, including the Raja Ravi Varma International Award and Best Sculpture Award from INSIGHT 2021. Mukti has also conducted and attended various prestigious workshops and art camps, such as terracotta master classes and ceramic symposiums. She taught art both privately and at Su-Ankon Art Academy in Dhaka. Her sculptures and paintings are housed in institutions like the Bangladesh National Museum, Genocide Museum Khulna, and HSBC Bank. Mukti’s residence and studio are located at 34 Agincourt Drive, Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, M1S 1M3, Canada.
